Do you actively encourage your children to read. Im a big believer in encouraging books from a very young age. My three children have a large library of books and love to read. Also when they are going to birthday parties we always give book tokens as gifts.

Of course friend...i would definitely encourage my kids to read. Reading is the best hobby of all. If we make kids read everything, they would develop swift interpreting and communication skills... do u agree wid me?

Yes I would agree. Reading is the best education of all time, and the most enjoyable.

We definitely encourage the kids to read. Of course it helps that when they come home from school that part of their homework is to read for anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes out loud to us. Plus when we go to thrift stores, we make sure to look at the books and buy them one that they like so the kids have a lot of books of their own too. Plus they see us read so that helps also.

Yes! I started reading to my son when he was only 2 weeks old. My daughter I haven't had as much time to sit and read to but I do my best to at least look at 1 book with each a day. Right now the library is having a summer reading program and when we complete 5 things (read for 15 minutes, look at a book and talk about the pictures, etc) my son can color the blocks as we go. He can get a prize. Normally a sticvker or something small but a great ideato keep everyone reading during the summer. Especially for the older kids. They have a different program. For most first birthday parties we also give book instead of a card and sign the inside of it.
