I have gone months without internet access when I couldn't afford it, but it was really hard for me. Social things are very hard for me offline, so being online kind of fills that requirement for me sometimes. Going without internet made me feel sort of lonely and out of touch. I've been posting on forums and in chat rooms for years, so it's kind of weird to suddenly lose all that contact.
Even when I am able to have online access though, there are sometimes days when I don't get online at all. Mostly right now it is the days that my husband is off work. Since we both have full-time jobs on opposite schedules, and we also have a child, any time we get to spend together is very precious to us. So usually if he is home I won't be online much, or even not at all.

I started my internet life in the 1996, when modems had 14.400 bps.
During all this time, i had seen a lot of people and as it is for you, social things are very hard when i am not online, this is not a good situation.. 10 years are gone very fast, too fast.

I think the more I'm around it, the easier it is just to hop on and lose the time. If I'm not around it, I don't miss it at all. The internet just fills my bored time usually. I'd rather be outside or hanging out with friends, but that's impossible when you have a baby sleeping in the next room!
I've spent months overseas where there was little to no internet connection. You just find different wants to fill your time. You get out and have fun! :)

well, now I spend a lot of time on internet chatting with my net friend, with my class mates of my college and looking on tutorials, and searching for information for my work, so I think I would do much without a connection to internet, I remember when I don't have internet and it was really not nice not nice because I have to go to a cafe internet and, actually it is more expensive that have a internet connection on my house, I would like get a laptop and conection from a free access point, because my internet connection is expensive and I don't want to wast my few money paying it, but I need it so I can't help it, when Internet goes down, I fell that I can't do anything, and the day is sad, but when it happen I read a book, or I go outside for a walk.

The only time I don't connect to the internet for a day is when my ISP doesn't cooperate, then I have no choice. As soon as they come back online I will connect again. It has been a long time since I have been without internet, and I hope that I don't have to go back to that.
