I didn't know people did hate microsoft, don't we have a lot to be gratefful for from microsoft, I feel without their input we wouldn't have as much as we do with the internet, maybe because they have made so much money, the tall poppy syndrome as we call it here in Australia, I am still in the mind that the internet is one of the best things ever and lets face it this technology is so great you would think it would all cost an absolute fortune to access so I am very grateful....

I have bough my computer with ME and I still use it. I never was happy with ME. A friend has XP and I do not like that not either. I was happy when I got rid of IE and replaced it with firefox. Right now I am having massive proplems with Outlook Express. Every time I run up such problems I curse on Bill Gates. I forget, I dislike msn and their stupid ineffective search engine.
Microsoft support is so expensive, forget it. I do not find help for my problems.
I want to buy a new computer. I will save on cost of programs.
I have another friend who runs Linux on his computer. He never has problems, he never catches a virus. Linux accepts firefox. Linux looks good. Linux is free. It doesn`t cost a thing. I do not care whether I get Suse linux, Ubuntu Linux or Kubunto linux or yet another one. Linux is problem free and does not cost a penny. I am so tired of this microsoft junk.

I'm a Microsoft supporter but i think some of the reasons why people hate Microsoft are the following:
* shoddy overpriced products
* they lie
* they hate the success of Microsoft
* they just like the products of other company

Usually it's because of the certain products that they make that are only created for the purpose of having Microsoft make money by you buying it, rather than something worthwhile and shining of hard-effort and of course, quality. And yeah, can't argue on the undeniable fact that they tend to get overpricey yet nonsensical when it comes to certain things, such as, off the top off my head, Microsoft Word '07: $229.99. I mean, honestly, not even the most gullible person would fall for such a thing given that you have that on one hand, and their Home and Student Edition which includes the Word program itself, along with Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, as far as my knowledge goes. But, as for myself, I'm not really one of those "haters" as one must truly appreciate what they have provided for us in terms of modernizing technology (just look at Windows).

I'm not sure. I don't hate Microsoft at all. I generally never have problems with it. A lot of the time I can just use XP just fine. I like XP and Vista's not bad.
I never really hear too much negative about it to be quite honest talking to people directly.

I think people hate it because none wants to be chained or ruled by somebody and thats what microsoft does at times.you see we really would like to have full control over something that we buys,but inspite of we using the windows original operating system ,we are not allowed full control over kernel.as you know windows source code is still not revealed and with such a condition,its really annnoying or irritating.also with the rise of linux and free software concepts,people are more attracted towards as they feel free software happens to be ethically correct.microsoft has already i dentified the distaste about them in the public and has infact started the required measures.sonn you can expect a free software package from microsoft.

Indeed Microsoft is a topmost company in the world and it makes the things for customer and ven employees.But the thing is that i will not accept a dictator any way who kills my right to ask against the product?You know microsoft is one of the company which is making monopoly over customer compelling the customer to use products and make them addicted?Microsoft i n short rules over the software in the field of marketing,system software,OS because of its policy and soon it has to change its policy to rule over customer but it had to leave them with freedom
