Do you find the King creepy?

Watching Burger King commericals, I have came to the conclusion that the King ("Burger King") is the creepiest advertising icon on TV today.
I, for one, do not want to wake up to the King. Nor do I want to open my shades and find him standing there. I especially do not want to be attacked by his ballet dancers. I am ok with him playing football and riding mini-bikes, and his dancing does not blind me; but I don't want a handle bar mustache.
Anyway, I found myself wondering if I am the only one that finds this corporate icon creepy. How about you--is the King creepy?

I used to work at Burger King years and years ago. And I am so glad that I don't work there now. I would hate to be associated with that character in any shape or form.

With the big scary handlebar mustaches. If that is what eating the food does to you, I think we should all skip eating there. And the way he dances, if you can call that dancing, is just alarming. Of course, it is probably hard to dance in that mask, so that may be the closest he can get to dancing. In some ways, it reminds me of the Six Flags commerical that was being ran a couple of years ago--now there was some creepy dancing.

I refer to the dancing ballerinas as the "When Ballet attacks" commerical.

LOL I think of you every time I see a "king" commercial now!!LOL
I also hate the Quaker Oat guy. I mean he is always smiling and around our kids. Didn't they teach those kids better than to take food from strange looking guys in a costume! I mean come on! lol

I'm sure glad I'm not the only one! Creepy is a good word for that character. I always thought the guy in the boat in the toilet a little more than creepy too, the Tidy Bowl man, always made me want to lift my tank lid to see if anyone was watching me in the bathroom!

There is a job you don't want to have--sailing a boat in a toilet. And you hate one of my biggest problem with the King--he might be watching you. LOL. I wonder if he is registered as, well, you know.

In recent years, MacDonalds has downplayed Ronald. Instead they play up their dollar menu which indicates, to me at least, that they know how little money is in my wallet.
Now here is a thought to think about, Ronald's smile combined with his friends--Mayor MacCheese, the purple guy, and the rest of them. Could Ronald's smile be the result of something that he is smoking?

You mean the peeping tom? I remember the one commercial were the guy wakes up and looks out his window to see him standing there just staring at him. In real life i would have been reaching for my baseball bat!
Yea i agree in this, the burger king icon is one creepy s.o.b. Always sneaking up on people with that sadistic grin on his face, make me wonder what he really puts in those burgers.

YES! Oh my god I think he's so creepy!!! Every time I see one of those commercials I can't help but think, "I'm sorry, but I would NOT accept food from anyone that creepy." The commercials are so disturbing. I think the worst one is the one where a guy wakes up and 'the king' is in bed with him. Um, if I woke up next to something that creepy I would run for my life.

You have to ask yourself why these men are not disturbed about recieving gifts of food, or waking up in bed with him. I would vacate that bed so fast, yelling and screaming all the way. And I would want someone to test the food for poison.

ROFLMAO!! You are so right! I think he looks kind of like this sweaty pervert. My youngest was freaked out with the one commercial where the guy rolled over and the “King” was in bed with him. She started double checking her windows were locked before bed, LOL.

I agree, anyone who would sit in a booth and treat a hamburger as something sexy, hang out around people's windows, ugh, creepy. And that phony, insincere smile. Yucky

I Hated the king back in the 70/80's when they first came out with him. It was a human character but with the same funky head. I think I was 8 or so when he first came out. Gave me nightmares. So, now, when I see him, it brings back all those hidden feelings. (OK, it's not THAT bad!)
I guess it's better than the talking Hardee's star. (THAT's scary!) LOL

The bad flashback for me would be if they brought back the nerd from the "Where is Herb" promotion. I had just been working there for a little while when they came out with that promotion. At the time, I was more nerdy looking than I am now. A lot of "look there is Herb" jokes were hurled in my general direction. *shudders*

It is creepy! But I have to admit that the few of those commercials that I have seen, have made me laugh out loud! They are just so silly!
