Wow, I have to say first and foremost, one of the greatest presidents of the modern times is President George Bush. He is a man who stands for what he believes in. He has based his policies on faith and if he says that God is leading him in his administration, then I believe him. I think he has stood his ground. We have a pretty good, if not great economy right now, and I can't believe it if someone gives a democratic congress the credit for this one. President Bush has gotten a pretty rotten deal with the way that he is being treated and the names that he is being called, but I believe that the names are coming from people who do not know any better.
I also believe that President Reagan was a great president and a great man. He stood his ground as well and really did a great job bringing an end to the cold war.
I live in Georgia and have a real hard time believing that Jimmy Carter did anything good for this country. He was a great governor, but when he entered the White House, this country could have been doomed. Today, he is hurting this country more and more as he tries to enter the global scene with a lot of talk that is extremely dangerous. He is a friend of the enemies of the State of Israel, which I believe can really be detrimental to the Middle East situation. God help us if we end up with another president like him

Of the historical ones, I'd have to go with Washington or FDR (Franklin Roosevelt). I have some issues with Lincoln and some of the things he did while in his state house, but that's neither here nor there.
I think Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan were both great men who were pretty good presidents, and perhaps the best ones in the last 30 some odd years.
