I am soo tired of having to push one for English..Let me first say..I am NOT racist..now prejudice at alll!! But im telling you..life was so much simpler when we had that..there was no waiting around for hours..we got to speak to a person..seriously..does this annoy anyone else?

Yeah, I'm kind of with you on that one. But, I think it has less to do with the rotary phone and more to do with the variety of languages available in our country now. Most places do give you the option to say "English", I'm not sure if you've found that though. The other day we were calling the Brighthouse Network Internet/cable company and they let us just say what we wanted. I guess it's voice recognition, though. When my kid gets old enough, I'm going to let her dial the number for me, and go through the initial steps before handing me the phone to talk with the live operator. Of course, by then, we'll probably all be communicating telepathically! LOL!
Be well, my friend. Haven't seen you in awhile, so I'm definitely looking forward to chatting with you some more. Drop by sometimes or send me a PM, and we'll talk more.

I think you were reading my mind!! I called just today to cancel a Dr. appt. for my son and it took 15 minutes before anyone even talked to me. It is like they think we have all day to try and get ahold of someone. I hate having to make phone calls at all anymore.

I am like you an this one. I get very tired of the computor on the other end of the phone, too. There are so many options you must go through just to talk to whom ever it is you need to talk to. They make everything so complacated, and time consuming now days.I really do prefer the touch tone phone to the rotary ones though they are so much easier to use. It is the computors at all the business's that I have a problem with.Alot of them you can just dial 0 or stay on the line to talk to a person, instead of going through so many of those options.

no way! those old time phones are SO confusing!!! and it takes forever to dial a phone number! what we need nowadays is a brain powered phone, no pressing buttons required.
