Dear friends, how do you feel when you 'miss' some near or dear ones? Do you feel sad or feel like crying? Do you console your self...that it is a passing phase...it will be over soon. What do you do to divert your attention from 'missing you' factor? Do you convey your feelings...to that person...who is being 'missed' by you?
Share your experences and views please.
Thanks

since the time, i have grown enough to perceive things in the true sense, i have been missing ppl and things. when i was in early teens, my father got transfered to Ranchi and then Bombay..i started missing him badly. then i grew up, got married and started to miss my family. eventually, i kind of got used to it. now, i miss my friends who are away, i miss my sisters, the children, the time we spent together. i just cannot get over it. missing is a sad thing but there is certain sweetness in it, it has become a habit now. i kind of contemplate it. i have no other choice. lol..
when this missing thing gets intolerable, i occupy myself with serious work in office, so that i don't get the pain.
as for the second part, i do tell them, that they are being missed. nowadays, i always express my feelings for if tomorrow never comes i will die an unheard soul.
smiles....

Need I say... you stole the show once again.
I can vouch for you, that you know very well how to pen down a beautiful and touching response........no doubt about it..........
So to divert your attention..you can engage yourself in other activities...that is good on your part...but how long................
I agree with you, it is better to express and convey the feelings to near and dear ones...that they are being 'missed'.
Really a quality response from YOU!

I miss my husband now. He is currently overseas for work in Africa and won't be back until August. Luckily I can still talk to him daily via gmail chat and he does try to call a couple of times a week to see that my son and I are ok. My son keeps me busy so its ok during the day, but when night time comes that is the time I miss him the most. My sleeping habits have somewhat gone up the shoot because he isn't here, like last night I stayed up ALL night watching 4 movies because I couldn't get to sleep! It's not the same when he is not home with us!

I can understand...it is really very difficult without having your partner nearby. He, I suppose, is the closest to you...so 'missing' him becomes more important.
Please do not miss your sleeps......!
Things will be alright when this temporary phase is over.
have a nice day!

I will defintly feel very bad i miss someone close. There are situations where i have cried after some bitter incidents that create misunderstanding between me and my friends. If the error is on my part i will ask for the apology.
But there are some happenings which forced me to miss someone close and it really took time for me to get out of that pain. Its quite hard to divert myself during those times.Anyway it just stays in a corner of our heart always and comes up to mind very often.

I felt lost when I misses someone It's seems to me that he/she will never come back again. It happen to me when I was a teenager with my cousin. She has to be with her Mom in England and she has to leave me. By that time she was only myfriend and only person I can trust to, as you all know I don't have any sisters and brothers to turn too. Thats why that time I felt a big lost in my life and sometimes I got to cried alone in my room coz I really missed her she is also my room mate and we sleep together in one bed, she was really a sister to me.

Dear Deepak
I really feel sad when I miss my near or dear ones. Yes sometimes I really cry for them .. but I do not have the stamina to console myself and that it is a passing phase.. It's really hard for me to divert my attention from missing you factor. Sometimes I convey my feeling to the person who is being missed by me and sometimes I don't.. It's really upto the situation. But missing someone really makes me feel sad :(

Priti! Hi!
So for you 'missing' someone is really bad and you cannot control yourself!
I guess, you must be very emotional.
It is but natural that when you remember some near and dear one and cannot see/contact him/her...tears will start rolling down your cheeks...that is the best stress buster, I believe.
But, we cannot help..soemtimes such situations come that we cannot remain without 'missing' our near and dear ones.
Thanks for really a touching and moving response.
Have a great day!
Deepak

Of course you feel sad...but now that I have my own family, it's my mother that I missed more.
sometimes you really have to be strong, and try to get in touch with special people once in a while.

Hi friend, i feel sad and now i am far away from my nephews and nice and mom so i always miss them, i dont tell them that am feeling sad but i try to call them as much as possible and sending present for them let them know the thing in other way. If i tell them i am sad as i am missing them then they will be sad too. So i dont want to make them sad but i try to keep them happy in any way i can and if they are happy, yes if i see thay are really happy then i can overcome my sadness very easily and then i becaome happy too.
Otherway i keep myself busy doing lots of owrk .......

Me and my boyfriend rarely see each other anymore and if we do, it's only for an hour so, just to eat lunch. I really miss him a lot that sometimes, I can't help but feel sad and I cry too.. I always tell him that I miss him, and even if I don't, he knows that I do...
