Do you have left-over food at your home?
If yes, what do you generally do of it?
Do you use it the next day or just throw it away or feed it to pets?In our home, we take care that we do not have left-over food. And hence we cook very less food in the night for our dinner. We wont mind if our stomach is not full in the night as I think it is good idea to eat less before going to bed.
Just in case we have left-over food at our home, we have the food the other day. My wife is an excellent cook and she makes some modifications or just heat it up so that we use it.

We almost always have leftovers. I will send them for hubby for lunch for work the following day as well as feed leftovers to the kids for lunch and I also give them to neighbor friends of mine. I hate waste and it really irritates me to see food thrown away.

I don't have a lot of left over food since I don't cook every day...but when I do cook and have any left-over I usually eat it for lunch the following day if there is enough, or give it a new twist in another dish and serve it for dinner. I like left-over baked italian chiken in a salad. Or meatloaf sandwiches. Or potato patties made from leftover mashed potatoes. There are a lot of ways to use the leftovers in a new way.

Most of the time I try to make enough just to eat in one sitting. If we have any left over I will usually have it in the next day or two.
On the weekends we are either very busy or very lazy. I will then make a large pot of something to last for a few days so that I do not have to cook all weekend long.

It depends. I sometimes cook extra, so I can freeze the leftovers, so I have easy meals for busy days. Or, sometimes the kids will take a bite or two, and leave their plate mostly untouched..in that case I cover it with plastic and they have it for lunch the next day. Other leftovers get served as extras for lunch or dinner in the next day or so. I hate wasting food, and we try not to throw away food if we don't need to.

Good discussion, Well if the food is left over, like if the rice is left from yesterday night, i just warm the rice in the oven and in another pan i mix all the vegetables, and add some garlic and ginger paste to that cooked vegetables and finally i add the rice in that mixture, and thats ready to eat as a healthy breakfast, so that we dont waste food and also have it like a good item for breakfast as well and its really tasty:))

We usually do have left-overs because my husband tends to cook too much food for only the 2 of us. I don't cook unless I have to because I don't like to and I'm not good at it. So in our house I clean and he cooks. When we have left-overs we will usually eat it the next day or freeze it for another day and if we have too much that we can't eat we will feed it to our dogs and cats. We have 5 dogs, 5 cats and 2 rabbits but of course I don't feed the left-overs to the rabbits, lol. :)

We hardly ever have any leftover food at our home either. If we do I will have it for lunch the next day. If not we just throw it out right away or else it will just sit in the fridge until it goes bad. But: we make sure we will not have much leftovers. Cooking too much is just wasteful

At home we try to keep left overs and eat it the following day, or cook with something like vegetbales or make a whole new dish using the meat and what ever is still very useful. We dont throw these because you know food is expensive and we try to save as much as we can.

it depends on what the leftover food is...if it is fish with bones, we just throw it away. One if my dogs is allergic to chicken so we only give him chicken bones once in a a while to sort of desensitize her. Generally we give the left overs to our dogs.

we usually dont have left over foods, but if we do, me save for a late-snack, or have it the other day. Sometimes we feed some of our left over food to our pets, we have a dog and a cat.

If I cannot 'make-over a left-over', then we have left-over day at my house. All the left-overs get warmed up and that is what is served. Smorgasboard is served about once a week in my house. I cannot stand waste. Some weeks though, there is no leftovers.

In my family, we seldom have left-over food.We always care for cooking, because the left-over food are not so popular in any where. If there is left-over food ,we just put them into icebox and eat them next dinner. we advocate the sprit of thirfty,so it's impossible for us to throw them unless it has completely gone bad.
I also agree with your idea that to eat less before going to bed.so we always do not cook so much food for supper. There is not pet in my home,so the only way is to throw them.
It seem that we should improve our cook capablity in order to avoid the left-over food.

When I rent a roon by myself, I cooked, nomorlly I olny cook enough for one meal, but when I was at home, I cooked a lot, as my mother likes eating during late night. I dont like keep the food for the next day, it is not because we dont have refrigerater. My sister has one, but I recommend you dont put any food in to a refrigerate if it is unnecessary. Because the nutrition will lost.
