Hello Buchi_bulla!
I have had many great teachers and lecturers throughout my academic career.
My most revered is the one from my 7th grade. He was overall in charge of our class. In our school there was a system where some top students would be separated to be given especial attention and heavy work so that they could compete in major competition events. I was lucky to be among seven of my class of more than 60 students. These students were selected on merit. Though I know that there is a negative side to this elitism but this was a normal system then. This teacher would always ask us to come up with different solutions to mathematical problems, bring multiple examples of English phrases, and stuff like that. He paid especial attention to me and another of my fellow. I believe that my academic creativity and later successes is due to his efforts. I respect him for what he did for me selflessly.
Another one was a physics lecturer in my college. He ingrained in me thirst for knowledge and research as well as questioning and criticism. It greatly helped me to question the theories of even some big names in science. Given my background from where it was considered very difficult that a student will reach the level of studies that I am into, I attribute all these achievements to my devoted teachers and lecturers.
Now in doctorate too, I have a great advisor. unlike many others of his level of international fame, he is quite humble, jolly and helping, just like a friend. I cherish his company and I know that I would miss his guidance once I am finished with my studies.

I have had four really great teachers in my life. In high school, I have a great biology teacher named Ms. Daniels. She is the reason I became a biology major. If I can be half as good of an instructor as she was then I have succeeded in life. I also had a really great English teacher, Mrs. Raines who fueled my passion for writing. She is the reason I continue to write on various sites and have continued to write poetry throughout my life.
In college I have a great English teacher Dr. Wilson who was a wonderful teacher and gave me my love for female American writers like Edith Wharton.
And my Masters Professor Dr. Waggoner taught me a lot, he was also a great instructor and he encouraged me to move away from where I had always lived and experience life. He had a great impact on my life.
Without these teachers I definitely would not be the person I am today and I am very grateful to them.
