I would love to take my kids to Disneyland, if I could ever afford it! My son dreams of it as an enchanted place with fairy tale people, I feel bad because I don’t know that much about it myself….lol….He loves to search Google images and chatter about the characters…...We live on an island and the closest one is in Japan, but I would like to take them to California to experience all Disney has to offer.
Can you please tell me
What is Disneyland Like? Is it really a fairy tale place? What does it have to offer that you will never experience any where else?At least if I hear from you I can try and act like I know about it when my kids bring it up….lol…Thank you

I'm 28 years old and have been going to "Disney" since I was 3. For me it is THE most magical place on earth. I have been to the one in Paris twice, California once (going for the second time in TEN days!!) and Florida more times that I can count.
I believe, if you want to "experience all Disney has to offer" than you need to go to Florida. The others are Wonderful and special and magical...they just don't have as much to do.
Paris just has Disneyland (I believe...it's been 10 years).
California has Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown disney.
Florida has The Magic Kingdom, Epoct, Animal Kingdom, MGM, 2 water parks, Downtown Disney, mini golf, real golf, etc, etc. They also have budget hotels for people like me who can't afford 100s of dollars a night and MANY hotels off property that are very nice and even cheaper.
Disney is so very clean and beautiful. The "Cast Members" (as the employees are called) are incredibly friendly. There are rides and shows (broadway quality), characters roaming around, so many things to see and do. If you can, bring him. It WILL be everything he's been dreaming of and more.
Please, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I have been to the one in Paris as well as Los Angeles. You must go with someone whom knows how to have fun and also love Disneyland. I went with 1 friend whom just love it to the one in Paris and we had so much fun. I went with another who happens to be my superior to the one in Los Angeles and it was a real bore. Waste of time and money.
I took the space mountain ride like 6 times in a day in Paris and ended up having a really stiff neck which took a long time to recover. In disneyland, you'll just feel young again and it does gives you a magical feeling.
