What is the best home romedy for an ear ace?

My ear has been hurting for a while and i am in between jobs with no insurece.. got any helpful ideas?

Take tylenol for the ache and put some cotton balls in your ear. Not too deep though. That used to help my son.

My son said it just made his ears feel better. All I can imagine is that maybe the air to the ears caused some kind of sensitivity. My father puts cotton in is ears at night for similar reasons, he says it keeps the draft (air flow) out. I've never experienced it to really say much more. Hope it helps.

Pour peroxide in your ear, let it sit for a few minutes before draining it. This should help break down any wax (you may see some in the sink when you drain the ear). After doing the peroxide you can flush out your ear with warm water. You can do this twice a day. You may also want to take something for the pain. If the ach doesn't go away in a week, you should see a doctor. Many places have free or low income clinics that are clean and safe to go to. Also, there are regular docotrs that will let you pay a certian amount up front then pay the rest of the bill later even if you don't have health insurance.
