Thoughts on Jessi's departure?

Did anyone else find it odd they they sent Jessi off last night with no feedback or reasoning for her being voted off. Perhaps her health condition is more of a factor than they are letting on and it's effecting her ability to be on the show....however due to privacy issues they didn't mention what that issue is. I thought Jessi was one of the better female dancers (and perviously the judges seemed to really like her)...I thoguht Lauren's solo was pretty boring last night..and figured she would be going. I was pretty surprised about the Jessi decision. Does anyone else think there is more of a backstory here?

I agree, I was just as shocked. They said nothing. Nigel addresses the bad solos and then it was like 'ok, Jessi your gone.' I too wonder if it had more to do with the heatlth problem then they were letting on. Because I liked her better then Lauren, for sure. Such a shame. She was really upset. Not just upset for being voted off, but angry too.

Oh, I'm sure people are up in arms. With no explanation as to what they thought. Nothing like, she has talent but just not up to the other girls. Nothing like we fear for you health and don't want to be sued so get out. Just nothing.

I would love it if they did. It would be cool to see them be so honest about some of the behind the scenes things that happen during the show.

I might have been a little angry too because she obviously was not expecting it. But not angry to be voted off as much as not being given a reason why. Needless to say, all the So You Think You Can Dance forums are a blaze right now with theories. I wonder if the judges are going to address the issue?

I agree. There has got to be something going on there for Nigel to just blow her off like that. He scolded Lauren for her boring solo and then boom! There goes Jessi. Not even one of those "you didn't show us your best" speeches they give when they tell people they are leaving. Also, I'm by no means a medical expert, but does simple dehyration really screw up your EKG like that. If she was dehyrated, you would think that they would have given her an IV and sent her on her way. She might even have been able to dance that night. Though, when she said that Pasha stayed and held her hand like that, how cute was that. She seemed really enamoured with him and I was sad to see the two of them split up as a dance team.

I suppose they severe dehydration can mess with an EKG...they also mentioned she had shortness of breath. But yeah, it was the brisk way in which they dismissed her that realyl surprised me. No feedback, no " keep dancing, you have talent", and like you said, not the usual "you didn't give your best". I agree, she seemed VERY into Pasha. Hmmmm ;-)

Okay, I just looked it up and it seems that dehydration can cause high blood pressure. If that was the case than, she most certainly could not dance until that was taken care of. I've also read some rumors online about her "flipping off" the judges after she did the cha cha with Pasha last night. I totally didn't catch that. but some people think she was booted off as punishment for that.

No I think if they were going to send her home for not being there on Wednesday then she shouldn't have even had to come back just to perform. I mean it would have been like a smack in the face to me. Like I thought I had a chance of staying that's why I'm here. But as far as the "flipping off", I saw that too but I didn't even think anything of it. But now that you brought it up, I'm thinking maybe that's why she was chosen to leave.
