Most of the time my husband complain to me about the leftover foods. He hates to eat leftover but he hates to throw them away either..:) I have a very bad habit that like to cook more then what we can eat. That's why we always end up with eating leftover on the next day . So how do you thing about leftover food?

I love to eat leftovers because it means I have to cook less often. I'm not really that big on cooking, so when I find something I really enjoy to eat, I want to make enough of it to have some for the next day at least! Once in a while we do have things go to waste if we are just being brats and want to eat out, or if we decide we don't like them. But usually leftovers aren't a problem in my home. In fact, since I'm on a sodium-restricted diet for my health now, I'm going to have to do more cooking because I can't eat as many processed foods, and I plan to make enough to sometimes freeze things that I really like for quick meals later!

I don't mind eating leftovers. Sometimes I will add new ingredients inside so that it will taste like a new dish. We don't like wasting the food.

Absolutely. My wife and I make it a point to cook a little more than we know we'll eat for a meal, because then we know we've been able to stretch it out and have these for meals at work tomorrow during lunch or even at dinner the next night. It saves us time and money when we are able to have leftovers. But not too many, cause the same food for long enough can get tiring.

Exactly,i have the same thought as you because sometime it's easy and quick way to handle the meal if you run off of time and you can simply heat it up in the microwave and there you go...save time and money..LOL

very good point. We ask for God to Bless our Food - it is not very kind of us to then throw it away without a care. if there are scraps left on the plate we give them to the dogs or poultry though.

What's wrong with your husband? Leftovers are great !!! They're not in anyway like just cooked meal, but having a second or even a third heating gives something I can't tell with words, I just like it .... You're a great woman making all that food and not being appreciated by it. Have a great day, and enjoy food !!

I learned since moving that my daughter refuses to eat leftovers but always makes more than anyone will eat. I enjoy leftovers myself and as I said on another discussion tonight - I actually cook so there are leftovers then I don't have to cook the next day or two.

We eat left over food on subsequent days. Not everything though. Either we should cook strictly for our needs or we should make good of the left overs the next day. Otherwise it would be an extravaganza, a total waste. Since your husband is not in favou of left over food, you should be more strict upon quantities you cook.

yes, most of the time i cook with leftovers in mind. Some meals we like to have as leftovers because the flavor improves such as with soups or pasta meals.... other times I think what I will make with the leftovers that will be a different meal. like left over roast and potatoes with left over pie crust makes a pretty good pot pie... left over corned beef makes reubens or corned beef hash. in the winter time most our leftovers get made into soups or pizzas. I do not tend to bake so much in the summer, but we still like a light soup on occasion.

Yes, for certain food it does taste better after over a night.

I would prefer not to but I don't mind. However, we seldom have leftover food. This is because we try to cook just enough so that it can be finished within the day. If not, we will still try to gobble it all down.:P

I think it would be a waste to throw away perfectly edible food. So nope, we'd just keep it in the fridge and eat them another day. Usually, we'd just heat up the food the next day and have it for a meal. Otherwise, at times, when we also have leftover rice, we'd cook a nice plate of fried rice. This always helps us to finish up leftover food from the days before.

I feel like your husband. I am not a fan of leftovers, I do not want to eat the same things several days in a row. so i rather cook smaller portions. I always can have a piece of bread with my meal if I am very hungry or a bigger portion of salad or I can make my desert somewhat bigger. I rather do it this way as I do not find the leftovers in the fridge appealing.

We do have leftover foods. We always try eating them at the next meal we have so as to prevent its wastage. Leftover foods upto a limit is fine, but too much is bad. I dont like leftover food much, I like having fresh meals, but when it is once in a while, its fine with me.

Leftover foods are great! Sometmes food is better the next day. I always take food home when I go out to eat at a nice restaurant and eat it the next day.

Before yes, we always took the leftover. But after it was advised by a doctor that leftover is oxidized and not good for health. Then we try not to cook too much food for every meal so as to avoid having any leftover. In case there is excessive food we normally keep it in fridge if it is meat, and dispose it as compost if it is vegetable. The stored meat could then be cooked and served again. In this way there won’t be any wastage.

When I was younger,we used to have cats in the house. So,leftovers are usually their lunch or dinner.I don't eat leftovers.I have a sensitive stomach and I'm prone to get sick with bad food.Maybe you shouldn't cook too much so there won't be any leftovers.Hope this helps!

I eat leftover foods a long as they still taste good. Leftovers are not a problem in our home cause we have pet dogs. If we don't want the leftovers, we'll just give them to the dogs :-)

Yeap..But some people like my husband he has a trouble with left over,so in order to compromise with him ,i guess i have work with him for not having leftover too often but once in a while would be fine ,depends on what is good for leftover.
