I liked my sheets tucked in. In fact, I have been known to get up in the middle of the night to fix the sheets that have become untucked. I haven't had that problem in a while, because I splurged and bought really good quality sheets which were longer and wider than the ones we were previoiusly using. Used to drive my husband nuts that I would get up in the middle of the night and start fiddling wit the sheets, but I just couldn't rest with it all messed up!

Making up bed is an art and it is better to tuck the bedsheets. It looks neat and you are sending a signal to the mind of neatness. Probably I wouldn't get sleep if bed is not made properly. I also like light shaded sheets rather than dark shaded ones and white is most preferred. REgarding your husband's preference, better to leave their habits to themselves.
