What Does It Really Take to Make Money OnLine

I have started this discussion not to state that I have made much money on line, I am just seeing how many of you out there have made a real killing at this internet marketing and to see what it took you to do so. I am really looking for some real stuff here because I am debating whether or not I am beating a dead horse with a fly swatter. I have been doing this business for nearly 5 years now and I am still looking for the right connection.
Tell me your thoughts on this ever growing business.

I don't believe that anyone is making a real killing out there. It takes persistence and a lot of referalls to make it even worth the effort. You can work up to a decent sum eventually but I wouldn't count on retiring with the money you make from it.

Retiring. What a word. You are right. There is no way to retire on what we are making on-line. Not in the beginning. I kind of wish I had gotten into this thing a long time ago, but then, a long time ago what of probably gotten me into more debt then I am already in. I enjoy the on-line marketing/business opportunity world as I find it challenging. I am being a lot more careful in which programs I choose to be an affiliate of when it comes to making money. Those that I were a part of a few years ago and left and see that are still around, I have rejoined and now see that I am making some money with them.
Your suggestions are great and thanks for responding.

I think it takes patience, time and a bit of business knowledge, as youve got to know whether or not you are investing either time or money or both in a viable business or online opportunity. I think to earn big money on the internet you have to create your own opportunities, such as creating and selling your own products, producing high quality blogs/ebooks etc x

It takes numerous things to make money online. First of all you need to have a lot of patience if you have a website or blog, you won't be making good money for a while. If you work hard and do the right things you will make money in time.
I beleive the main thing you need is a niche, something a little bit different.
I just set up a webmaster/money making blog and I offer people a certain percentage of the affiliate money they earn me back. It may lot be loads, but it is extra money.

Charisma, charisma and more charisma.
You need a bunch of people to work for you, not you work for some other people for a cent or a dime. It's the same as in the real world, where managers get more money than the workers below. You never heard of workers earning more than managers, right? So try to be the one on top!!
