Newly burnt DVDs do not play in DVD Player/computer. Help appreciated.? I am not able to play newly burnt DVDs (+ or -) in my DVD player or from desktop/laptop. The burn process completed fine. I am not sure if the problem is with the DVD buring software? Please help. Appreciate your thoughts.

I assume you are trying to create a DVD Video, not a DVD-ROM. The files for a DVD Video need to be in specific places on the disc. You need burning software that is DVD aware and handles this properly for you. I assume you are also aware that you need to author the DVD using an authoring application. You cannot just burn a disc with some MPEG files on it and have it be a DVD

Actually, you CAN. With a program like ConvertX ... you simply add the files (avi, iso, mpeg, etc) and it will convert and burn them to DVD ... that's literally all it takes to create a DVD.

There's a few factors that have to be looked at with burning. First of all, where is the movie from ... what software did you use ... and most importantly ,what format did you burn the files IN? Also, not all DVD players are able to play burned format movies ... you have to insure yours is compatible with this format. I download torrents quite often, and depending on the format they come in, the best software you can have is ConvertXtoDVD. It will convert almost any format over to compatible DVD format, capable of playing in your DVD player.
