If you lost weight tell us about it. How did you do it and have you kept it off? Did you use a commercial product or a weight loss club and how easy was it for you? Share what worked and what didn't work for you.

I've been dieting now for five weeks and I've lost 24lbs. Naturally, I lost a lot in the first week, because I lost the water I was retaining, but it's steadied up now to between two and four pounds per week. I have cut my carbohydrates and eat a lot of salads, fruit, lean meat, hot and cold, fish and eggs. I eat a maximum 50gms of carbohydrate a day, three meals a day and breakfast is my important meal of the day. I take mangosteen, acai, and goji berry juice and drink up to five cups of green tea a day.
I haven't as yet started exercising but I am ready to plan and start my exercise programme this week. It will involve small weights an exercise band and an exercise ball.
I have a long way to go yet, but I'm enjoying my diet and feel a lot better for losing the weight.

Sorry Dar, you misunderstood. I lost 24lbs in five weeks, not the first. lol.

Yes, I have a friend who had acupuncture sessions once a week for weight loss. It helped but he gained it back within weeks. He is from a family of slightly overweight members. They are just a bit above normal weight but he wanted to get rid of the excess. Without diet and exercise it just came right back again.

oh i see i havent tried acupuncture ive heard that sandra bullock is one of those who use acupuncture to maintain her body anyway maybe exercise is the only thing that works thankx

Hi there! Recently, I had a 3-day diet plan, which I found from one newspaper article. It says if I follow that plan i'll lose 10 pounds. It works though not that well. I've read another article, which I also want to try - it's eating half a grapefruit before each meal or drinking 8 ounce of unsweetened graprefruit juice thrice a day for 12 days. Also, I have tried unhealthy diet products like sliming tea, pills and etc... I've lostpounds but they're unhealthy am afraid to suffer the consequences so I stop taking them. I would say that less carbo intake, more cardio or aerobics is better. Protein diet works too =).

I am glad you realized some diets were unhealthy and stopped using them. I recently tried a diet from a magazine too. It said I would lose up to 5 inches and 24 pounds in a week. You eat six times a day and most of what you eat is raw fruits and veggies. Once a day you have protein and once a week you can eat whatever you like. It worked. I lost inches from my hips that were noticable and belly fat. That wasn't as noticable though because I have IBS and I am bloated most of the time.
I have tried many alternatives for bloating but nothing is long lasting and sometimes, something will work once but not the next time. If you or anyone have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

hi actually im really interested in this kind of topic well all in our family is chubby not so fat but healthy like well my sister have tried lots of diet tips like the atkins the beach i forgot what beach the 3 day diet no carbohydrates etc buying machines and stuff some of it has effect but after u stop the diet you will become more fat ive tried that oh its south beach diet for a week i did lose a little weight but when i did stop it i gain more than i lose . actually doing diet and stuff depends in our body and in our lifestyle right now like me i discover that eating more meals or smaller meals a day makes me lose weight i eat 4 to 5 times a day anything i want then i do 15 mintues exercise before i sleep it makes me feel good i did lose weight really ...
