Do you get many responses?

It goes kind of funny on Mylot sometimes. There are times when I will post something and think that people will respond and no one does. The thing about it is though, everyone loves to talk about themselves. So if you go with a topic that is common to everyone and give them a chance to talk about themselves or even brag on themselves you will do well. While I like odd news, a lot of the stuff that goes on in this world is so off that you have to be able to show proof of what you are saying. Science is cool, vut it hast to be something really interesting or out of the ordinary for me to want to read it. One thing that I have noticed about me on Mylot is that I usually wont even read the long boring post. It is to easy to read a short fun one, comment and keep going. Just my lil' ol' opinion.

Sadly enough, I don’t get too many responses…. There are days when I am lucky to receive at least six, but then there are days or even weeks when I get none! After a few days I check out my unresolved discussions and choose the best response, even if I only received one…lol….Bu that because, I realize that if it is un-responded to in three days, then it probably isn’t the discussion the interest anyone. I used to feel bad, but now I just respond more than I post discussions! That’s the only way for me to earn at least a dollar a day. I have to respond with at least thirty “quality” responses. I can’t complain though, because I enjoy being here!

i used to get many responses for my discussions. but i noticed people respond to discussions relating to things that happen everyday in our lives, things that people can really relate to. i seldom post about science, i get less response if i post about it.

The best way to get more responses to our discussions is byincreasing our popularity in mylot by responding regularly to other's discussions with impressive points. We can sustain with our rating too. So your new decission is in the right direction. Please don't stop your topics on odd news. Few people always appreciate them. Thank you rockingmom.

I usually get really low respones to none at all! The discussion I get the most responses on are the ones I expect the least and can almost see people rolling their eyes as they read the title as they pass on by! NOw how does that work? LOL I am glad to hear you write about wierd science or odd news. I for one probably just miss them. When I come on I start scrolling down the list to see what catches my fancy and I start answering if I feel compelled to do so. So I probably just neve have the time to keep going and see yours! I will check it out now and see if indeed I would love your topics or not. If I comment then you will know you got my attention!
