i believe in love, why would you marry someone that you don't love if you gonna be misserable for the rest of your life, its better to choose someone that you love so you know for sure that through thick and thin you 'll be happy with him/her coz you truly love him.

There's not way I'd allow myself to be involved in an arranged marriage, either as the bride, or as the person arranging the marriage. I think it is up to the couple to find eachother and marry for their own reasons. It is not up to someone else to tell another person who they will marry.

well i think that arrange marriages is quite good as ur getting married to a person u dont know and this is what i think is very exciting.. love marriages are quite boreing because in love marriage u know the person u marry and u might have mingle with him or her as well so there is no such excitment. that is why i say arrange marriages are better then love marriages..

Personally, I don't want to be forced to marry someone against my will, or someone I don't love. When I got married with my husband, it was or is because of love, physical attraction at first, then a lifetime commitment. There's no way my parents or anyone else could force me to marry someone against my will. That's just isn't fair 'coz love is not something you force on someone...it should come spontaneously...I don't believe in arranged marriages, it simply is not our practice. I have heard other cultures practising it and some work fine...well, that's them, but I am a differenct person having different sets of beliefs, hence this honest-to-goodness opinion. Anyway, I have been married for the past 26 years, so this is based on a personal experience...
