Do they exist or not? If so why and what would they be like (or what are they like if you have met them). If not why and what would they be like (in theory). I say yes they most likely exist. The universe is really really big and chances are there are other life forms out there (just from a statistical standpoint). If they are intelligent and have space traveling technology then they are probably not very friendly. If you look at how humans treat other species than I would say that is an indication of how aliens would treat us. Maybe as pets, food or as pests.
