Is it ok to ask someone out on the phone?

Hmm that is a very good question because I am a lot like your brother. I am quite shy and when I like a girl I can talk more online or on the phone than in person. I think it would be good if your brother asks her out on the phone and then they can maybe go somewhere where they don't need to talk a lot, such as the cinemas. This is a very good first date as it can be romantic and is perfect for the guys who are shy because you don't have to talk much (and it's dark ;-)). Then as the relationship gets more serious they will probably feel more comfortable talking in person :-) I hope I could help. Rated +.

Well, if they have build trust and good friendship, I think it would be okay to ask her out.

well I think it would not be totally bad but he can try a nice poem on a small card saying you are invited on a date with me time date ect

i think these days, impersonal asking out are the ways teenagers do it. it's probably ok, but i know that girls would still like that damsel in distress treatment, but not too much. girls liked to be wooed and be given stuff and have things done for them. for the first time, maybe it's ok if it's thru phone or text, but as they transgressed, i hope your brother would still do it the old-fashioned way.

Oh,come on,let your brother in his way.If his friends told him to ask his GF out often,I think he would feel neverse,as you said he is shy,and you can see this is same as his GF.They become partner the most important point is they love each other,maybe she dosen't care how often the dates they have,only the true love not the phone let them together.
