How Does Childhood Relationship Affects Your Adult Relationship

Yes I think we get a lot of the qualities we look for in mates from our parents. Whether good or bad memories, everything that happens in our childhood I think has an affect on our relationships in adulthood. I've seen friends that were abused as a child physically by their parents and then grow up and find the exact same quality in their boyfriend. It's like a cycle. but on the other hand, most of the time when you have a loving, caring family and support system you tend to find a mate you can be compatible with in my opinion.
