Well, ive been out detecting up on the moors around my home again and have found some interesting coins. OK most were modern, all but one is of the 20th century. What struck me as odd was why, with money being so short for most people for most of the 20th century, is there still so much just laying only inches under the earth.

Good for you. Maybe you will find enough or a treasure and then you can move away from these nasty people who live in your town!!! LOL

well, they are sort of new. I think 1860 is the oldest and onwards to about 1965, so its a fare spread

Wow that is amazing all those coins you have found. I wonder if they are worth anything? I think they probably are! I do not understand how people back then could lose their coins as much as they did either.

cant imagine they would be worth a lot but its an interesting collection. It strikes me as strange that they could be left there scattered about lol

Nice finds..it is truly amazing what still lyes beneith the ground. I have been following some metal detecting websites and have seen some amazing finds. I am still waiting for my first "silver". I live in a great area with alot of history so I'm sure it will be coming soon.
Keep posting..love seeing coins..no matter how old!!!
