why is it that i donot get enough responses at all for any posts...???

hi rakesh.. dont get dissappointed because of that.. i started out at mylot like december or january this year.. and until now, some of my discussions got 0 responses.. its just that, some other topics dont have an appeal to other people.. remember, mylot people ranges from teenages to young-at-hearts.. also, not all discussions will be known to all people at the same time.. it will take some time for them [for us] to notice other discussions.. when i started,it took a week or a month for me to have more than 5 responses from my discussions.. just keep on replying first so that people will notice you... im sure, you will not know i exist here if i didnt respond, right? get noticed.. answer other people's discussions and have lots of friends! :)

I experienced the same like you. Now I think maybe the topic isn't so important. It's better that you have a lot of friends here in Mylot. As when people can't think out new disucssions, they tend to look at the discussions started by their friends. And another important point is, sometimes you also need to reply to other's discussions. So they will be thankful and they will also reply to yours.

If you find out the answer to this , then let me know....I really wouldnt have a clue, I dont get a lot of responses either, luck is probably right, who knows.

Hello There! Don’t feel bad about not having responses because the truth is we all go through it at some point! It is pretty sad when we take pride in what we do only to become unnoticed…hehe I used to feel the way you do, until I came to a realization about the Mylot system. There are discussions being posted every second on Mylot, when we post our discussions there is about a five minute window for other members to see it. At first we end up on the top of the list because we just posted but then with each few seconds that pass and others post, our discussions begin to rapidly fall on the list. I can’t speak for other members, but I can tell you that I personally only look at the first and second pages of discussion post! I hardly ever go passed the second page. Therefore, if your discussion has dropped to page three, then chances are I won’t notice it. Then again that is just me! I can’t give you a defining answer to why you don’t receive responses, but I can express my opinion about it. Don’t let it discourage you, there have been times when it has taken over a moth for me to receive a response, but at least it does happen! I will be happy to look at your discussions and hope that I find something to respond to. Good Luck with your future postings!

I am very new here and wondered the same thing when I posted my first and only question for discussion. Oh well, time and expierence I guess :) Good luck.
