Can steriods affect our thinking process?

I just read in msn news that Chris Benoit of Smackdown is dead. Reason? He committed suicide but prior to that he allegedly killed his wife and mentally challenged son.
As per the news one probability why Chris Benoit did this is because he has been taking steriods which affected his personality. I am not sure if there are studies written that supports this theory.
What do you think? Can steriods have an effect on our personality?

Thank you for your response. Not to question your comment, where did you get your comment? Where you on steriods before? Did you read an article related to this? If so please refer me to this article, I would like to make a study on it for an article I am writing.
