Do you mind who order dishes when dinner out?

Yesterday,I go out for dinner with a boy.in the resterant,the boy order the dishes without my opioin.When I ask him why he didn't ask my advice? He said that we are familiar to each other and he said sorry to me.I think the boy should ask girl's advice before order.That is what the gentleman should do.
