my favorite movies are movies that makes you think and that arent predictable. I love 'A few Good Men' starring tom cruise, demi moore and jack nicholson. But i also watch teen movies like 'just my luck', 'clueless' when im not in the mood for heavy films.

Right now and since it was made, The Lord of the Rings triology. One of the very few movies that put a book on film and made it come alive. Usually the books are changed so much, or done so poorly, or acting poorly, that they never do justice to it. With the LOFR it was vastly different. The Director, Peter Jackson, can take all the credit here. Chossing the right actors, the right script, maintaining the author's story, hiring the set designers, and everyone that was associated with the film. Especially the ones who made and desinged all the clothing, weapons, armour, castles, etc. THe list is so long. Then, he chose New Zealand, his home, to film. That was the best choice for several reasons. It wouldn't be recognized from other movies, and this lended well to the "world" in LOFR as well as it also a land where the world still looks "raw" and "new". Also, the studio there for special effects did an amazing job. This film was so rich in details, characters, and story. It was a rich and lush vision to behold and so was the languages for the ears. You can take a still from this movie and compare it to the paintings done by the masters.
All of these things, ended up making a film that was true to the book, made it come alive and breathe, and did something that almost all movies fail to do. People went and read the book. Including myself.
