yes i have.. my co-worker is the sister of the VP for public affairs from a prominent tv station here. she could make appointments with tv starts we want to meet from that station so its easy if we are really interested in someone. but before she came and made it easy for us to meet celebrities, i had met others and shaken hands with some on a bar in makati. i have adored the band eraserheads for such a long time. but is not really the lead vocalist that im interested it but its their drummer raymund marasigan who is my crush. i was finally able to meet him and he even bumped into me while watching a band perform. that was such a great feeling!

I actually shook hands with Dr J the basketball player several years ago. I also met this guy from All My Children, I think his character name was Noah. He was still on the show then and he was at one of the malls for a program. I don't think he on the soaps now, but what a nice man and nice to looked at. He was gracious enough to let me take some pictures with him. I still have the pictures.

Yes, if you consider musicians as celebrities too. I have actually seen Michael Damian (sho played Danny on The Young and The Restless several years ago) in person and got an autographed shirt.
I also have shook hands with the members of Sawyer Brown, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, and seen several other stars up close and personal.

Yes, I have hand shaked with the leading movie star in our local place, Kamal Hassan. He is a super star in our place. I handshaked with him when I was very young around 10 years, I still remember that time and incident, I handshaked with, he smiled with me and shook his hand. It was like a dream at that time and I pondered over that incident for quite some time and had discussed it with all my friends at that time.

Stephen King was the person I have been most excited to meet and shake hands with. I have idolized him since I was a little kid. Seriously, at four years old I was pulling his books off my father's shelves and reading them. We have the same birthdate (though different year of course).
I was in line at a book signing of his with a friend of mine, and he got all excited and jumped up and ran over upon seeing my friend. Apparently my friend's parents were close friends of Mr. King's, and my friend had kept it a secret from me! I was soooo excited that he talked to us, and he even gave me advice on writing and things, and read a poem I wrote! Shaking his hand was one of the most exciting things ever for me!

yes, I had the opportunity to meet Mother Teresa in person. She took my hand in hers and said - what ever you do give it to Jesus. The touch of her hand brought tears to my eyes and to this day I remember how it felt.

When I was working with our local airline company i met a few dignitaries, which to me are pretty much celebrities.. There was my country's Prime Minister at the time, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Afghanistan's Prime Minister, Hamid Karzai, Timor Leste's then President, Xanana Gusmao.. and much others. It felt great.. i really felt honored to meet all these dignitaries.. for someone my age.. to meet these prominent people in this world, i really am happy.. and speechless whenever i think about it.

I got a chance once, to shake hands with the Prime Minister of our country, when I was awarded a prize by him...and I feel shaking a head with the Premier of the country...be more satisfying than shaking a hand with a celebrity.

Well, not a handshake. But I did get huged by the lead singer of my favourite band :) And I felt so good. Not because I was hugged by him, but for the reason. My work had been apreciated. :D
