I remember back in the 70s when you met someone new, that used to be the first question. I don't know if people still have a lot of interest in each other's astrological sign, but I still read my daily horoscope. As a matter of fact, I have mine delivered in my e-mail every day. I am a Taurus, by the way. My mother used to say that it was of the occult and should not be indulged in, but I still like to read my daily. What about you?

I believe that there really is some truth in that some signs are more compatible with certain other signs, Shaun. For some reason I have always fallen for the guys whose sign are not compatible with mine, lol. It makes for interesting relationships.

Yeah, raychill, I know what you mean. My mother's friend used to say that the forecasts were not meant for you, individually, every day.

I am a Leo, but I hardly pay attention to my horoscope anymore. Maybe every once and awhile I will check it out just because curiousity has gotten the better of me, but it's not a daily thing for me anymore.

I don't read mine daily but definitely check it out now and then..it sometimes is aligned with my life and other times seems to not fit at all...but it can be fun..I have a friend that reads hers daily and actually plans certain activiites by the horoscope!!! It works for her!! I am an Aquarius...and everyone always guessed that before I would tell them...I must be an open book!!LOL

Confidentially, rx4life, I have heard that many past and present heads of state have their forecasts done on a regular basis, and plan their activities around the predictions.

Right, mummymo, I don't see where they do any harm. They are mostly for entertainment purposes anyway. I am also a true Taurus-stubborn as a bull, lol.

I'm Scorpio with Libra ascendant, Moon in Capricorn, Venus in Sagittarius..and just about everything else in Leo....When it was popular to ask signs, like you said in the 70s, another thing people would do is try to guess your sign..for some reason, people always figures me to be a Leo

Let me see...famous Taurians...Shirley MacClaine, Cher, Barbra Striesand, Michelle Pieffer, Cate Blanchet...
Famous Scorpios...Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Meg Ryan, Jodie Foster (those two have my birthday of Nov 19)

Yes, pyewacket, I admit that I have compared celebrity signs with people I know just to see if they share any common traits. You sound as though you really know a lot about astrology. You know, Sly Stallone's mother is an astrologist.

I am an Aries, But I never read my horiscope anymore. I did read it years ago, it was never true for me, so I just stopped reading it altogether.

Nice post worldwise. I do believe in common traits among people of the sign. But I don't really read the daily forecast, as it's not an individual reading. However I find it much more appropriate reading the forecast for the year.

i'm a proud to say it, GEMINI. everyone says we're two-faced but i really don't think i am. I just am so adaptable to anything. I can see a reason to both sides of an argument. But i'm not a good decision maker.

Ah yes, I still ask everyone what their sign is. I , too, am a taurus. I got involved in astrology and other phenonoma when i was about 12. when I was 13 I typed transcripts for a medium....go figure and my family was catholic. ...I still can't believe they allowed it but they did. I also have my horoscope delivered to my e-mail. I don't base my life on this sort of stuff but I do find it facinating...all of it.

I am an aquarian myself, i believe in numerology, astrology and that, there is no occult around it whatso ever. People like predictability, they like to be right, and star signs are usually right with certain key words. i know that my stars have been scarily correct.
As an aquarian we are meant to be 50 years old the day we are born, we live the future in the present with creativity and spontanuity. and i mean i have a lot of aquarian mates and we all have the same basic traits that you would find in a writing up on us. I love to read my stars, like to know what might happen or caution. Its great to wake up in the morning, read your stars, have your coffee and start your day. :D
