I have a very hard time motivating myself to exercise when I'm at home. It's so hard because there are a hundred things I'd rather be doing. I think what I really need to do to motivate myself to get exercise is join a gym or take some exercise classes. The only problem is I can't afford to do that. I guess I'm stuck in a catch 22 situation. When I can afford to though, I definitely want to take some yoga classes and maybe some tai chi classes as well.

It is very hard for me to motivate myself to exercise because I get tempted to be distracted by many things, like watch TV or read a good book. I rather be doing these things instead. If i go to a gym then I am more motivated to exercise because all I would see is equpment

I have just started a very similar discussion. I too have difficulty staying interested in any kind of exercise when I am motivated, but most of the time I struggle to get motivated in the first place. In my discussion I have asked people to recommend from experience the best types of fun and interesting exercises that have worked for them, hopefully through this I will find something I love which will get me motivated to stick to it.
