i feel loneliness here,in mylot!

Hello naadia, You don't have to feel lonely. Yes, I can understand your problem as you wish to see more girls from your country here. But this is My Lot *smile*, you will find 1001 characters, cultures and people here. Doesn't it sound interesting and amazing to you? As for me, I don't even check the profile of my friends and I am not too sure, how many are from my country *smile* By the way, if you really want a name, I have two who are quite an active member here and they are from your country. OH Naddia, I understand what you're feeling but hey, there are plenty of women in here from around the world, and you are in good company :) I have to agree that I haven't seen many girls from India in here, but I'm sure there will be more in the future. Look through my friends list, there are several females from India on it as well as many other places. And BTW - the internet should not make you feel lonely. If you feel lonely, maybe you should interact with real people and come to the internet to broaden your horizons, to make online friends and maybe meet new friends by learning new things and developing new interests.

Hello naadia. When I started as a newbie here, most of the friends who requested to be on my list are mostly coming from India. I actually have a particular fondness for a girl but unfortunately, she wasn't active for many months now. I kept wondering what she's doing right now. You can still have great friends of different races here. I am from the Philippines and its quite funny to know that some of my closest friends are from different part of the world. You'll be amazed to know that despite the differences in backgrounds and cultures, I get along well with all my friends. Cheer up and enjoy your mylotting. :)

Well, I see this as an oportunity to interact with people that are not like myself. I interact with norwegian women outside of mylot, so I would rather interact with someone else in here. I think learning from people different from me is part of what makes this fun. If you really do miss other women from India, maybe you should refer some?

Hello naadia, I am also an indian. i have few friends too from india who are women but they are not that active on mylot. I don't know why you so feel lonely as fellow mylotians from all nationalities are very friendly on mylot. My good friends are not necessafrily from india so be active and interact more and share your thoughts you will find people with you get along and don't feel lonely. Moreover guys who are sensitive and emotional like me can be good friends, my friends with vouich for that. good luck. have a nice day.:)

I'm surprised too. I know that are a lot of people from India on my friends list but as you said, they are all male. I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it. Maybe when you get your first check and they see it, that might convince your friends to join.

I'm sure they are more girls from India here.Why you don't go check?You can go at users by location.They go to India and check some profiles to see if they are female and active. Telling the truth I'm from Greece and they aren't many women from Greece either.I don't really care.you don't try find here people from our countryI have many good friend from different countries.Try find good friends here without be important from where are they. We have now a friend from Greece too...

That's funny, I was under the impression that there were many people from India on mylot, though I hadn't considered the gender issue. I guess ultimately I don't pay that much attention to gender or to where people are from when it comes to making friends here, so I hadn't really noticed those kinds of trends, just heard what other people said about them. I'm sorry that I can't help you myself, not being from India, but I do hope you find some others! =)

Does it have something to do with your culture and the role of women in your culture? I mean no offense, I don't know much about indian culture but I've gotten the impression that women are expected to be somewhat submissive or subservient. Maybe the women are afraid? Feel free to set me straight if I'm wrong here.

Hi naadia, I think you are wrong there are many girls from India too. And some of them you can find in my friends list. Just check their profile to find. But one thing I noticed a very few girls are regular visitor of mylot. I noticed you and some one or two are there. I don't remember their usernames, just find it. They have responded quite a few times to my discussions also. Don't worry we all are friends, may be girl or boy, but I think mylot is a mingle of good friends who can actually share their views and help each others, may be they come from international arena.

Have your searched by location? There are over 24,000 members from India and I am sure there has to be some females in there that are active. You could try sending some friend requests, check out there profiles for maybe a way to contact them.

I know that most of the girls from India might not like to post responses and discussion here on mylot or any other such discussion forum... What you can do is encourage your friends to do what you do here on mylot...

I've never taken much notice to that... Hopefully since starting this discussion you will find more females from India, but don't stress over it... That would make you special if you were the only one but I'm sure there are more out there:)

Oh dear I do feel for you. I've never really paid attention but I know there are a lot of men from India here but now you've said something I don't recall seeing many if any women from there. I wonder why that is also. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers but hope you will stay around and meet some friends from other countries. Even though I'm from the US I've made a lot of friends from around the world and really enjoy getting to know about other countries.

I have an active lady friend who is from india. So I think you are not alone here in mylot. There is no reason to be lonely as there are a lot of friendly people here, even if we don't share your nationality, it does not mean we can't be friends right? So cheer up!

i did no t noticed before i have many friends from india and few of them are girls/women but they are not much active in mylot........ i think girls/women cant reguyler in mylot because,they dont got time to do myloting, may be they have to cook,or house work and women has care their kids, and theey get free time hardly, i am notr sure about this but it can be gendral reason...

This happens on yaari.com. I am the only woman from USA there, and I am not finding the right kind of people there. I went to lear more Hindi and Urdu, but it turns into a dating site for people younger than me, and I am the only person I have seen who is NOT NRI.
