1. Do you feel happy on a day-to-day basis, in general?
2. What are the things currently in your life that make you feel sad in the short term, if any? How much control do you feel you have over changing those things?

That depends...it is a without coffee? Does the day include chocolate?
OK, I am not allowed to have chocolate...so that would mean no...not feeling happy.
But I have started drinking coffee again now that I am off my meds....So yes. Coffee good. hehehehehehe

Huh? What do you mean short term? I am terminally in an unhappy situation.
Catch the word terminally.

Teens. Partner. No money. No privacy. No carbs. No chocolate. No land line phone.
Lack of adult intellegent social face to face interaction. Hearing the words, "Excuse Me" too much.
4. What do you do to make yourself happier in the short term?
Eat chocolate or carbs anyways. LOL Chocolate makes everything better. OK, that and ice cream too. Soft serve ice cream. Oh and coffee. Oh oh! And playing the quiet game!!!!!
5. What do you do to make yourself happier in the long term?

Uhhhh...I thought that might be TMI. LOL
Long term...I would take stock in the Energizer Company.
As you can see then...that is also why I am terminally unhappy....I don't have enough money to take part of that stock. LOL

in general, yes I'm a happy person and damn proud of it after my battle with depression a few years ago. Although I have a lot of stresses and responsibilities, I'm happy with who I am and the people in my life, and so although I may feel down at times, I don't stay down.
2]
at the moment, the thing that gets me down most is my parents' divorce and my mother in law's ill-health. I know I don't have control over the feelings of the other parties, but I feel confident that I can do my best to help things get better.
3]
my current lack of direction for when I finish school makes me a tad unhappy when I think about it, and the effects it will have on my future, but I know I have many abilities and motivations, so I don't let it get me too down.

In the short-term... I don't know, those little things like indulgent foods etc, I suppose...

I make sure that I give myself the time out that I need - although I love to do things for others, and put them first, I make sure not to forget about my own needs and feelings or put myself on the backburner and let things pile up.
I set up connections for myself for the future so that it can be prosperous and happy.
