i keep reading communication is the most important part of a relationship, but what do you do if he clams up? im madly in love with him but he has trouble talking. its not just to me either, he just doesnt talk about anything serious to anyone, ever! he just sumbits and shuts up when im upset and says hes sorry ...even if it was something i did. i tried tellin him how i felt about him not talking, but, surprise! he didnt say anything...what should i do?

I have the same problem with my husband. He's very quick to apologize but not so quick to talk about it or anything serious for that matter. He is really into music so he'll talk nonstop for hours about music but ask him something important to you and it's silence!
I usually only saw a few things at a time. He's uncomfortable with silence so if it gets quiet for too long, he'll start talking or ask me what I said. It seems to work a little bit to get him talking.

agreed! My husband isn't really into sports...I probably like them more than he does!
