I have a patio table and chair set. And would you believe that last night someone stole get this the umbrella right out of the middle of the table. Not the chairs or the table the freaking umbrella. I wake up to find my umbrella gone from the middle of my table. I was like Junior (my hubby) the umbrella is gone from the middle of the table. He looked at me and laughed I told him I was serious. He got up to look and then said maybe it was raining last night and they really really needed it. I told him he was nuts it did not rain nothing was wet outside. Someone just flat out stole my umbrella. I hope they have good use for the darn thing now I hope I can go buy just the umbrella somewhere.

Doesn't surprise me. People will steal anything now a days. We caught a neighbor trying to still my husbands ladder off his truck. We live in a good neighborhood. Some people just don't have any morales.

Oh that is just awful!!! Some people have no respect at all. I hate when people mess with your things during the night. Last October I had some pumpkins sitting on the front step of my porch. I woke up in the morning to find that someone took them and moved them out in my front yard under a tree. Now why would someone do that?

People are so silly sometimes! We use to have some matching bikes they my husband's grandparents gave us because they never used them. Well we never used them either and my husband had a really nice (and expensive) bike under our car port in the back yard and one day the two matching bikes were gone. But not the expensive bike...the matching ones were in nice shape, but nothing fancy. Where my hubby's bike had all kinds of things added to it along with shocks and all...but someone stole the matching cheap-o bikes. My husband was really mad but I though they must have really needed them since they didn't take the nicer one or any of our kids bikes and toys out there. I don't know what people are thinking sometimes!! Maybe they will bring it back tonight =) hee hee...wouldn't that be funy!!

lol .. they stole ur umbrella out of the chairs and the table... lol so u must really love that umbrella? oh when u get a new umbrella try doing something to protect it like so that it doesnt get stolen again, if you get the thieves found out that u got a new umbrella and they see it they are bound to steal the umbrella again.

Maybe they're an umbrella short of a picnic set? How strange! I wouldn't steal from another but if I did, I think I'd be taking something less obvious so no one would see me walking down the street with a big object. What a shame.

I definitely can believe it. Some people think that if you leave it outside, then it's theirs for the taking. It makes me sad to think that you probably spent time thinking about and shopping for that umbrella and someone was thoughtless enough to just steal it. What goes around, comes around and I hope they get exactly what they deserve.

I have had my umbrella fly out of my table when the wind was blowing. Was the umbrealla opened and was there a wind? The umbrella could be at the neighbors home. I was sitting on my patio with a friend and we cought the bottom of the umbrella just as it was going over the roof of my house. I then put the umbrella back where it belonged and closed it. Good luck with finding your umbrella.

Oh wow! How weird! You would think that they would have stolen the whole set, not just the umbrella. That is one dumb criminal!! I wonder if maybe theirs got stolen so they decided to come and steal yours to replace theirs. That would be crazy! lol

I'm sorry to laugh, but although grievience it was amusing the way you typed it.
I cant believe some of the things people steal, i have had a puppy stolen from my back yard once. was so livvered about that, but aside from that i dont think i've had anything worth thinking about stolen from my home.
I'd say that there may have been a chance for weather, however take pride in knowing that you obviously had great taste in umbrellas :D

Some people!
If I was you, I would drive around the neighborhood and see if you see it in someone elses yard and take it back or confront them, but then again, who is to know where the umbrella is now.
But, something tells me that they might be back. Maybe they are planning on getting the table and chairs another day. They could be doing all this a little at a time because they don't want to get caught. Maybe the unbrella was just the first to go.
So keep an eye out the next few days and see if you can catch them and then call the police.

Wow-- what jerks- they must have needed it more than you guys- or it was some kids doing pranks- Still anyway- umbrellas are expensive! I hope you can find one you like also- and that it too does not get stolen.

I have to say that it doesn't really shock me. The last place we lived the neighbors warned us to make sure that if we left anything outside in the yard to place a chain on it to secure it to our house. My fiancee allowed the children to play outside one day and had them leave their toys outside while they went in to eat lunch. When they went back outside some of their toys were gone. Our daughter looked out down the street to see a little boy riding her bike away. My fiancee followed him to their house to get the kids toys back.

That's really bad. My christmas ornament for the yards were being stolen too last year. I was so sad and mad! It's not the one that fancy, or big, just for my kid to enjoy the backyard. People are just unbelievable these day. Now my hubby chain everything we have in the backyard. Feel sorry for you, dear. yuop, either put inside for night time or chain it to the fence or tree.
