I live about 30 minutes from Glasgow airport , This afternoon I watched on the news how a jeep or a 4x4 was set on fire and driven into the airport , there was a small explosion and part of the front entrance went on fire , Passengers were running everywhere scared for their lives , and planes were stopped from landing or leaving , So far it is being treated as a terrorist attack , I hate to think how scared these people must have been , what kind of world are we living in ? xx

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. This just has to be a wake up call to all those who believe the lie that Islam is the religion of peace. Islam is not peaceful at all and is a cult that wants wold domination that needs to be stopped or it is going to get worse.

I would like to see car bombers unpack just one of thier cars and give it to you. That would be a step in the right direction.

I saw that when I got online, it is horrible. Where I live there are many oil refineries and I worry all the time about terrorists also.
I was reading on here about the on in Glasgow I see that one man that was in the jeep is in the hospital in critical condition with severe burns and another one is in police custody. The one in the hospital they found a "suspect device" and it was taken to a safe location where it is being investigated.
This world is full of sick, evil people.

I am not sure how many refineries there are here. My husband is an electrician and for years and years he has worked at nothing but refineries and now is working for a different electrical company and don't work at refineries.
My son in law travels so much of the time, he is a crane operator and he works at nuclear plants. He even went to England to work not too long ago, it was the latter part of this past year.
Yes, like you say .... if a refinery goes we really won't know what happened it will be so quick.

Weemam, I sent you a pm yesterday, to check if you were all ok. It's terrible what is happening, and I too feel sorry for what those people must have felt. They are probably still in shock. So glad you are all ok. How far away are you from the airport?

I saw this on the news last night. It looked horrible and I would have been so scared. i would not be surprised if it did turn out to be a terrorist-atack. They hev ben quiet lately so they are probably planning something.
There has also been bombs in london wich is also scary. Soon we have to be afraid to even go outside!

I saqw this on TV tonight. It was a terrorist attack, apparently the third atempted attack in the past few days.
From what we saw on the news, England is on the highest alert possible for a major terrorist attack.
This is vey bad news. When will it end?

I saw that piece of news today on TV here in Australia about the 4x4 being driven into the entrance of Glasgow Airport and then setting on fire. I believe the UK are on high alert because of it.
We are truly living in a very sick world, and it gets scarier day by day. What a terrible start to a new job for your new Prime Minister.

That's horrible. I have no idea why people do these things. oh I am sure those people were running scared as what I would do too. You'll never know what these people would do these days. I live not too far from the airport here but there is always something going on.Take care.

In this high-tech and modern world we are living in, a malaise is affecting all of us: terrorism. Terrorism is the hardest to beat of all the modern enemies the Western nations had faced so far. In terrorism, nobody wins, all are losers. People are losing their lives, properties and peaceful state because of terrorism. How and when will this thing endsc -- nobody knows for sure. The formula to defeat terrorism is still have to discovered.

According to the Hindu scriptures we're living in the 'Kaliyuga' or the age of vices and according to the Judai-Christian-Islam scriptures this is the time when Qayamat is imminent. However, I don't believe in these scriptures. I think world has always been the same and human minds as well. But today we all are well connected by means of communication so well that we are able to take big actions quickly and such actions are reported to all corners of the worlds even more quickly. And thus it leaves a negative impact on our mind that world has turned into a terrible place. Its one of the evils of good communication.

A grim and very frightening one indeed my friend, this was obviously connected to the two failed car bombs in London yesterday, horrific just to think what would have happened had these of gone off, it doesn't bear to think about. Sadly we live in a terrible world and even tho they failed THIS time it still hits home and it still a constant reminder that terrorists live amongst us and we have to be vigilant 24/7 just one slip could have catastrophic results.

I wonder what kind of world are we living in some times I wonder if it has gotten that bad for us all as not only is country going to war so are neighbors and families but to think about it a little deeper it has been happening from the beginning when Cain killed Able now thats what scares me the fact that it is getting worst and it may never stop but I guess as they say life goes on and you should try to do all the good you can to all you can for as long as you can

Sh*t like this is so very upsetting to hear about. I feel sick to my stomach to think it's all starting up again, we've never really felt completely safe since the London bombings a couple of years back. I was in a pub a few years back when an IRA bomb went off just yards away BUT a coded warning was given so there were no fatalities. It was really terrifying at the time but felt like it was happening to someone else. Then with the bus and tube bombings a couple of years ago, people were made to feel unsafe about going about their daily lives for ages and now this is all happening again. All those people who were due to go on holiday and have had their flights cancelled, I'm sure people will say oh it's safety is more important, but think how those people are feeling? There might be people who've saved all year around to go on holiday and were due to fly out today and now their flights been cancelled. People due to come back to the UK from a holiday or flying into the UK for a holiday, how are they feeling now? It's all just too horrid! x
