If someone said to you, I dont know why they would, but just go with me here... If someone said you could only have one meal for the entire year, and whenever you were hungry that is all that would be available to you, what would you choose?

Hey Stacy, Well lets see. One meal for a year. That is a tuff one. For the sake of this discussion, I would have to say it would be Manicotti. It is my favorite meal and I could eat it over and over again. Yum!

I would choose pizza. I love it. And I never seem to get tired of it. I suppose I might after a year and would probably never eat it again.lol. But pizza, with the right toppings, provides something from each food group.

hmmm that is a hard one as if you could only have one meal and nothing else you would eventually get sick of whatever so I think I would go for McDonalds Fish Burger, I love those things, so bring it on I am waiting for my Maccas.... :)

lol! Interesting choice, yes I am sure you would get tired of eating the same thing for an entire year.

Well, there's a lasagna here that has pasta, meat, cheese & vegetables in it so that's everything i'd need all the time! I'd probably go with that - or maybe a stew/casserole type thing with veggies, meat & pasta in it, just so i'd get enough off most of the food groups!

Its would be a really hard choice to make.Isn't it??Meal ummmm I would choose to have fruit salad.Because it is energetic and it will provides me everything I want.Plus variations in fruit salad will not make me bore of eating same thing again and again.

She always complains that I never go to restaurants. But the reason is her cooking only.I got so used to her food I find every other food secondary to her makings.

that is so sweet! =) My guy says the same thing. He says he cannot get anything at a restaraunt like I make, that makes me really happy! I am sure your wife appreciates your happiness to eat her food! and she sounds like a really great cook!

I would opt for a hardy beef stew with biscuits, not because I am overly fond of beef stew, but because it contains a very complete nutrition. protein, fiber, minerals, vitamins etc.

Can we make it a full 8 course meal? That way at least you have a few choices & you could always skip something at each meal so as not to get too sick of these foods. Although, even 8 choices for a full year seems like it would get old pretty fast.

i dont think i could eat that much in one sitting either, but it is good to have those choices if you'd be eating the same thing for a year! =)

Well in that case I'd have cucumber & avocado sushi for an appetizer, and nice fresh, soft whole wheat rolls with soft warm butter for the bread course. Then clam chowder with saltines for the soup. A nice salad with blue cheese dressing. The main course would be a medium rare, juicy steak with fresh portabella mushrooms, a baked potato with broccoli & carrots for veggies. Dessert could be any sort of chocolate cake or pudding pie type concoction. Pretty much all my favorites and I'd eat about 1/4 or less of it at each meal because I can't imagine I could ever eat that much in one sitting!

A restaurant in this area makes Chicken Penne Primavera to die for! It's got veggies, pasta, chicken in a really good cream sauce with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and I think that would be do-able for a year, although by the end I'm sure I'd be sick of it.

I would choose chinese food! Sweet and sour chicken over fried rice with an egg roll along with pepper steak & cashew chicken. There is one other thing I eat to which is some kind of meat on sticks with sauce over them, but cannot think of the name. Making myself crave chinese food now and too late to get any! ;)

Hawaiian pizza with a whole wheat crust - tomato sauce of course, shrimp, ham, peppers, low-fat mozzarella, pineapple and some garlic. Dairy, meat, veggies, carbs, fruits - the perfect food..,.other then maybe chocolate and popcorn. This is a tough one

sounds good and healthy! Chocolate and popcorn could be your dessert! =) Some people eat 8 course meals, so I'd probably opt for one of those, so I'd have a few choices. =)

Hhhmmm...I could go for a lot of things, but if it's only ONE meal for a whole year, that's a toughy. I mean, I like some foods alot to a point where I'll have it several times a week then not have it for several months. But, for the sake of this discussion, I'll answer. If I could have only one meal for the entire year, I'd ask G-d to give me the same manna he fed the Israelites while they were in the desert for 40 years. Why? for one it's as kosher as kosher can get. Two, it will be readily available. But, most importantly, after I was done grinding it up, whatever I wanted it to taste like, it would taste just like it. If I wanted it to taste like a steak one day and a fruit salad the next, it would. Isn't G-d wonderful? But, after a year, I would hope and pray that I wouldn't murmer and complain about it.

Well in this case I would have to choose.... Spaghetti with meatballs covered in a couple slices of pizza covered by a hamburger covered in ice cream with sprinkles and topped off with some popcorn and a hershey bar. That counts, right?

That would be hard because I like so many different things. I think I might choose pizza. Can I have different topping on my pizza, or would they have to be the same ones every day?

I think it would only be fair to have any toppings you wanted at any time.
