Mythological Creatures

Do you have a favorite mythological creature? Which is your favorite and why?
My favorite mythological creature is the phoenix as you can probably tell from my avatar. The phoenix or fire bird is a magnificent and beautiful creature. I love how they are reborn as soon as they die. I wish that my pets could do that so I'd never have to loose them.

I love Garuda, the Eagle,which is a bird most described in
Ramayana, the Indian Epic.

Most of my Tattoo's are based on 'Mythological creatures'........
I have a Pheonix, dragon, devil, several Angels, a fairy, unicorns and stars.
My next big one planned is a Mermaid, I have a fab picture for one.

I love the kappa. I mean, a creature that has a weakness to politeness and cucumbers? That is simply too good not to love!

My favourite mythological creatures are as follows:
All Dragons and Snakes; And that is because I love the powerful and noblity of those creatures.
Cerberus: I mean he is the guard of the underworld.
Nymphs: Since I see them as evils little things :D

I agree with you, the phoenix is a very fascinating creature.
I prefer its ancient egypt name: BENU the ancient egypts believed this bird lives in the so called BEN BEN HOUSE.
I also like Fenris or Fenrir, in the northern mythology the first son of Loki and the gigant Angroboda
but there are so many creatures from all differnt cultures, hard to make a dessicion ;)

My favorite is the dryad or the griffen or pegasus. I like the dryad becase they are kind but yet they get very angry when some1 messes with nature. I like the griffen and the pegasus because they can fly and you can fly on them that is like soooo cool.

Hello,I Have Two Favorites;Athena & Artemis(Diana)...First Because They Symbols Are Animals & I Like Animals!!!!Athena Because Is a Symbol Of Wisdom(The Owl,One Of Her Symbols)),Strenght,Justice(& Many Others...)!!!!
And Artemis(Diana)Because Her Protection For Nature(Some of Her Symbols Are The Full Moon,The Deers & Dogs...,Children & Birth!!!
