I always read the discussion fully. I feel you are doing a disservice to the original poster, if you don't take the time to read it through. Once I posted a topic about "biting your tongue" I didn't mean literally, I meant biting your tongue, as a saying to mean not saying something you are thinking out loud. I got a few answers about biting their tongue and how painful it was. If they would have read the entire discussion, they would have known what I truly meant.

LOL~! That's funny! Well I totally agree with you. Sometimes it's quite annoying to get a response that clearly showed the responder did not read the whole discussion. It bugs me that I need to explain things again when I reply to their response.

reading everyword will take you more time before you can respond to the next one. I used "speed reading". This will make comprehension of the main topic very easy.

Hello,tracy1985,i will always read the whole discussions before i type the replies,it does not take much time to read the whole discussions if they are not too long, may be it just takes 30 seconds or so to read a ten lines discussions, anyway,it would be fine if you can understand the main ideas of the discussions and reply with something relevant to the discussions.

I read through to get the maim idea before I respond to the topic. To do this is to show respect to the person who started this discussion. I am glad that you do the same.

Before replying any discussions I do go over all parts of the content. If there are several parts I would only pick those interesting parts to answer.

I usually read all the parts of the article when i respond. I want to know the thinking and ideas of the people who post the discussion and respond them accordingly.

Yes, I surely do read the topic in full before responding to it. If it is a good topic I will think for a logical answer. Most of the time answers may come instantly, but some times I will have to think for a while to formulate a significant response. I am never in a haste to post most number of discussions/responses/comments. So I patiently read the topic. Thank you.

To understand the crux of the discussion...I need to go through each and every part...then only I can draft an appropriate reply.

Some discussion tells it all in one liner, they just added some story to make it clear to us. I learned my lesson well here at mylot, i read all parts of the article. Because there is an incident that it is not the title that really makes up with the discussion, it went wrong when i responsed on it so the person who made the discussion response also to me that his discussion is for men only. So i read it all first before responsing, and it can add to your idea if you just finished reading the discussion before you response.
