I like fresh strawberries and lots of whipped cream..and would like to have it in my pie also. One of my favorites however, in my country, is coconut pie or better known here as "buko" pie. It is made from real coconut(not the shredded or dessicated ones)and it just tastes heavenly especially when eaten while still warm from the oven.

I love strawberry pie. The only one I know is to have a baked pie crust, slice strawberries and make a glaze out of fresh strawberry juice, cornstarch, and pour it over the strawberries and put it in the fridge. But I do not know the exact recipe because it has been some time since I made any and I cannot give you the correct ingredients. http://southernfood.about.com/od/strawberrypierecipes/r/bln287.htm is more like the one I made.
I usually skip the whipped cream. I use ice cream instead or have it plain.

I love strawberry pie. The one I use comes from the Company's Coming Cookbook by Jean Pare, the pie one. http://www.companyscoming.com/. It is like the original one, the one with fresh strawberries and a glaze over it. It is fairly simple to make, but I guess I cannot write it here. I use the vinegar pastry recipe by the way, the one with an egg in it, as you can roll it out, and reroll it again and again without it getting tough.
