distinctions between love and infatuation

In a relationship love must always be real and if not, better get out. Partners must know how to nurture it so the feelings wont die. When you're in love all the experiences are great, savor it while it lasts. the question here lies on... How would you determine that your love is real or its just an infatuation. I would say the essence of being in love is were you are ready or at least willing to accept someone for whatever personality she/he has.
