Where will the backsliders go? Will their salvation be ripped off?

the assurance of being saved is stated clearly in the Bible that if we do what God has told us to do then we die with our souls in heaven.
but, if a person has forsaken God, God will also forsake him and he will eventually go to the fires of hell. not being judgmental here, alright.
only God knows when a person should "belong" to his kingdom. for we are not judged alone by our works but how we lived life according to His will.

I will disagree on God that forsake those who forsake GOD. GOD is for the sinners afterall. such much as possible he wants everyone in heaven. But he is gracious that he has given us the freedom to choose. A free will. \
the kingdom of GOD is for everyone and for those who will be lost (who will be found again). God is a sheperd, he will look for the lost sheep. People may forsake GOD, backsliders may broke their promises to GOD but God will never break HIS.
I think what will happen to the backsliders is that they will be given second chances to find the right path and GOD will lead them back to the flock.

very true. but, as i have said only God can judge us wether we belong in His Paradise or not.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father in heaven.
- Mmatthew 10:33
Enter ye at the strait gate:for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destraction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because stait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, a few there be that find it.
-Matthew 7:13-14
Then one said unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, i say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
-Luke 13:23-24
i hope this clears my point. God is all mercy indeed. but we have to also bear in mind that once we ask for forgiveness we should be responsible not to do it again. :)

Your assurance of salvation is rock solid. You can't undo your new birth. Christians may backslide but if they continue in sin and forsake God and want nothing to do with him then their very salvation comes into question. A quote I like on this is "If we have it we never lose it; if we lose it we never had it."
