When I was a kid I changed my mind a lot. I probably wanted to be a veterinarian for the longest time though. Most of my adult life I have worked in the retail industry though instead. I have done volunteer work with animals though, including taking a few of them into my home and nursing them back to health. I guess that is as close as I will ever get.

i dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, too. i had about 13 dogs when i was still single and i played doctor to all of them as well. :)

Unfortunately, I get too involved with my patients, not a good practice for a veterinarian so it probably wouldn't have been a good choice for me. I would have loved nursing them back to health, but it would have been really rough on me whenever I came across one that I couldn't help.

I always wanted to be an Engineer, but I had a liking for aeroplanes and made model ones and gliders as a hobby. So I wanted to be an aeronautical engineer. But it never went the way I wanted and I ended up being an Accountant. Your being a teacher, many architects and scientists will be groomed in your shadow. So you have grown up into an all round profession.

Some one has to teach or no one would be there to learn it is a good profession! I wanted to be a race car driver or a jockey. I could do neither when I grew up for it wasnt a thing girls could do back then they wouldnt let ya in. Now I am alot of different thing but mainly a mom and that takes up alot of professions at once .

I'm rather quite old among young people like you . My experiences taught me that you would seldom become what you ought to be in life . Yet , Be happy and contented with what you have LOl,...

Hello SeventhJuly, We often ask our kids about their ambition in future which makes no sense as no kid is aware of their present, past and future. It is better to leave them for a natural growth.
