Another dvd player bites the dust

My dvd player just died....as in it will not play dvds no matter what I do. This is the third one that has died on me in the past year and a half. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't buy super cheap ones, but I don't buy the really expensive ones either.

Have you tried cleaning it? They make DVD cleaners that will clean the sensor that reads the movies. I find doing this any time movies start skipping helps. But I have not had one totally die on me to where it would not play anymore.

i have a DVD recorder..which hardly ever gets used..only by my brother..on occasions...
my old one was crap so...we got rid of it..but it didn't ever break down.
