As I was going to St. Ives I met a man with seven wives, each wife had seven sacks, each sack had seven cats, each cat had seven kittens. How many things were going to St. Ives?

In children's stories? Wow see, I think maybe riddles and the like are probably easier for native english speakers. It seems everyone I have learned in the last couple years everyone English speaker has heard since they were little. :) Well I am learning them now. Better late than never I guess.

but the riddle doesnt say the man "I" met would go to St. Ives, so we dont know where the seven sacks go. I think just "I" go to St. Ives. and in general speaking, man is thing.
