When does your Independence day come?

I am in the United States. Our independance came on July 4th 1776.

My country Uganda got her Independence from the British on 9th October, 1962! It used to be celebrated with a lot of Gusto years back when I was young. Today it does not catch great attention from the ordinary man reasons being most of the post independence leaders have been a disappointment to the people they lead to the amazing extent that there are usually feelings of the nostalgia about the "good old days of colonialism!!" Infact many Ugandans feel they were more united in the colonial times than they are today!

even i m from India only...so now shud i tell you wen do v celebrate our Independence day...the day wen you celebrate it...lol.
