Ok, some spoliers here!
Wandering what people thought of the season finale of dr who? I thought it was very very good and kept you guessin throughout - though the ending was a tad sentimental. Also raised some very interesting questions!
Does martha come back? I hope so, i think she's definetely improved as the series went on, and think she'd last a few more series!
Does the master come back - i reckon it was his Mrs who picked up that ring (nail varnish give away anyone?) and wander if they'll bring him back soon...
Face of Boa - Captain Jack! WOW - never saw that one coming, though makes a lot of sense and a nice tie up
Is the christmas special set on board the sinking titanic! So it wasn't an ice berg - it was the tardis! Maybe his new companion will be an early 20th century woung women - now that would be interesting!!!
So what did people think of the final episode and the points mentioned?

WHOA WHOA WHOA What are you guys talking about? I live in Alabama, USA.
Are you guys a season a head from us? The season premier just started for us with the Dr just meeting Martha. No titanic, just hospital on the moon and little old lady sucking people's blood with a straw!

I thought it was ok - but nothing really to rave about.
Ever since Christopher Eccleston left the show has been going down hill with only a few really good episodes. The little shrivelled doctor reminded me of Dobby the house elf and I was expecting him to start banging his head against the cage.
Also the dude who played the master wasn't very convincing to me either, too much of a Babyface.

I thought it was an amazing finale! I loved the tiny, shriveled, big-eyed doctor in the bird cage. I also loved Martha saving the world again.
I am so pleased that Captain Jack is the Face of Boa. I just wonder how his face got so big in that jar, Miracle Gro?
It does look like Martha left, but maybe they will miss each other or he will need her to save the world again and ask her back. She did give him her cell and say he'd better answer when she calls.
So, the Doctor caused the sinking of the Titanic, huh.

Yep - dr did it!!! Think they'll have to re-do all the titanic films now!!!
Hmm, maybe when humans are millions of years old and can't die their face stretches!!! LOL!!
Hope Martha does come back - she's really grown on me now!
Hope there's some great dramas to keep us going til dr who's back at xmas!!!

SPOILER WARNING!!!!!
Okay, so from what I've read so far, Donna Noble is going to be the new companion for Series 4. Martha is coming back part of the way through, and she'll also be joining Torchwood (at least temporarily) about halfway through Series 2. Personally, I can't wait--I think that Donna will be a nice change of pace from the lovesick teenagers we've have so far. Not that I don't like Rose and Martha. I definately think that Martha improved over the course of the series. But I could have done with a little less of the lovesick puppy love thing and had a little more of the twenty-something medical student. Anywho, I haven't seen all of the final episode (though I do know what happens), but it'll be airing in a couple of weeks here, so I'll catch it then.

I'm sorry, but it's the Face of BOE! (Sorry to geek out on you guys, but it had to be said!)
WOW! Great episode. I think it was fantastic! Some great acting, for the first time Martha's family didn't annoy the living daylights out of me. All my predictions about the Toclafane were wrong, (thankfully), and the Jack -- Face of Boe, brilliant!
I'm kind of glad Martha's on her way out for now, I'm looking forward to a new companion. Lets see either someone from a different planet, or at least a different age, either early 1900's, or much later in the future.

Sorry, i wasn't sure how to spell it, I'll remember now! Hope i didn't cause much offence!! LOL!!!
I was very surprised at what the toclafane were too, very strange, but kinda makes sense, we never did get to see what happened to those humans before!
Maybe dr who will pick up someone from the titanic as his new companion! An aristocrat from the victorian era might be very interesting! Though i personally would prefer martha to come back for a bit longer, think she needs more time!

I did enjoy the finale though I think RTD maybe going to much towards the Dr is God way of thinking, other than that I think all 3 episodes of the finale made some of the best uk tv of the last few months, shame our series cant last for 22 odd episodes lke the US series do!
Really looking forward to xmas, new who, with kylie and 71 minutes so extra long! cant imagine how that will be on US tv with all the Advert breaks?!?

Standing back to look at season 1 plus season 2, I get the impression that the doctor is a philanderer, and of course his case of being a time lord puts something of a necessity to it; yet, even so, I don't find it forgivable.
Rose was great as a spunky youngster but Martha was more his equal even tho not a time lord. I confess that I thought better of the doctor in season 1 than season 2, though, and I see Martha coming out on top with making a smart decision to not put up with his crap any longer and realizing that she has her own life, remarkable and intelligent in its own right, without him.
I daresay that any lady in his future would be wise to not become attatched to the bloke.
