Astigmatism: is there any other remedy besides wearing eyeglasses?

Am wearing glasses for 3 years now with regular upgrade on my lense every year. Now, I feel so uncomfortable wearing them and wish there is another remedy to cure my astigmatism problem. My head aches so terribly especially when my eyes get exposed to extreme sunlight or when I don't get enough sleep for 3 consecutive days. Doctors have different versions on how and when I would use my eye glasses that sometimes make me feel they don't care enough for their patients. I don't want to have an upgrade this year but am also scared my astigmatism wouldn't get better. I know some patients who got cured after wearing eyeglasses but I doubt I have the same situation as theirs - my grade gets higher every year=). Do you know some other cure for this?

Hi there Krizkruzado:)You kept your word I will keep mine. It is such a coincidence that I am also suffering from Astigmatism. However It doesn't seem to be as bad as yours. I wear glasses since the early age of 5. I never heard of a cure but I can live with my glasses. They do not bother me. I hope your sight gets better while wearing them as It seems to be far worse for you.

Hey, it's you hehehe. Actually, I find your discussions interesting - I replied to some which there is somehting I could say. Thanks for wishing me well - I do hope to get an alternative to wearing my glasses - how about eating carrots? Hehehe it sucks though I feel like am roger rabbit and soon come out in the cartoon movie he's into. Blessings =).

Thanks I like yours too:)I'll check them more often. My mum used to say carrots help LOL I am still wearing those glasses though:)

we do have the same problem.. i have astigamtism too.. for me astigmatism sucks! hehe.. i hate it when my head aches, and when i get dizzy, really dizzzzzzy... hehe!(",).. according to my doctor there is a cure on it, she told me about the laser stuff, but it really cost so big. And we dont have enogh money to cure my eyes with the laser. That's why im just being patient wearing my eyeglasses. But i sometimes not wear my glasses because i felt so uncomfortable. And now i just wear my eyeglasses when im inside the classroom and when facing on a pc.. and when i feel that my head is already aching that's the also time that i wear my glasses. And i think that my grade gets higher now. This coming September i'll be back in my doctor to check it if my grade gets higher,. wait! we can also use or allowed use the contact lense instead of eyeglasses.
