Do you dine at "eat-all-you-can" restaurants?

Do you prefer to go to eat-all-you-can restaurants and eat like pacman? There were resto who offer sky's the limit food, a buffet style. I tried going there and did'nt come back as i felt that i'm torturing myself. People eating there, including myself tried to eat as much as the tummy can tolerate because we have to make our payment worthy. After that, we race to comfort room to find comfort! whew! i think this is just a waste of money and our health is being compromised.

My asawa is a good cook and we rarely eat out..but if we do then we go to the China Buffet..all you can eat for $6.00... I don't over eat at this place cause I eat a lot of veggies and some chicken..you don't have to get your money worth everytime you eat at a buffet..learn moderation..at a party do you drink to excess? or eat everything that is offered? that is why the people in the US are overweight..eating to excess..to much of a good thing is not always wonderful..this comes from maturity and learning to curb your appetite..eat slowly..and drink water ..too big..lol..well we all have to learn the hard way..

people who go there tend to over eat because they really have to make their hard earned money worth. Plus the fact that you cannot have another plate if there are still leftovers. Glad you have a good eating habit!

you have to have a clean plate before another or they will charge you double.

You cannot have another plate if their are still left overs? well, in the US people waste a lot of food..i have seen a lot of people go back for another new plate if they first plate was not deliciuous and tasty..but I belong to the " clean plate club" and rarely leave any left overs..but i have seen a lot of waste..my wife worked for Holiday INN and part of the part she liked was that she could eat at the buffet for free...sad to say she was embarassed when she seen a fellow Pinoy take a lot of food but not eat what she took..and go back for more food..just plain waste because it was free? it happens..maybe they are stricter in the PI? I too was raised not to waste food..it is a sin? well, some people at parties..like weddings or funnerals take more then they can eat and waste it..so sad..it shows disrespect for the host.

There was a time, like an entire generation ago, when we (friends of mine & I) used to regularly go to this all-you-can-eat place. During my younger days, we were big eaters, & had fun there. At that time, being a teenage guy, we also enjoyed the waitresses as well. I have not been back to one of those types of restaurants in years. I also do not think I can eat as much as I used to.

good response here KK, so its not just the food that you enjoyed there! Here in our country, those eat all resto has no waitress, it's like a smorgasboard where you can get as many as you want provided you can finish it all or you'll pay the regular price.

yes, i do, but i don't eat like pacman, lol! I have a fairly small stomach, really. here in iloilo, there are a lot of eat-all-you-can restos that cost around P 50.00 only.

that was very cheap! if you happen to go to Manila, the price in kamayan is 250-299 per head. I plan to visit my hometown in Iloilo by next year in time for our homecoming in Passi. I hope to dine to that cheapest resto.

health is really at risk by eating at an eat all you can restaurants...but it does not necessarily mean that the foods that they are preparing are health risk...or health is being compromised...yes eating at all you can can make your stomach burst because of the sumptous foods being served and being priced at a price where all has to go...me?i do usually at eat all you can restaurants, but i do choose the place the offers such...

Actually, risky in the sense that you tend to eat fatty foods or those foods that may trigger a high blood pressure.

No I don’t. it cost affordable but I don’t benefit a lot from that kind of restaurant. I don’t eat that much even if im so hungry. One or two plates is enough. My brothers could have more than that. They told me, ‘cause they’re the ones paying it sometimes, that I shouldn’t eat in a restaurant like that.

YUP though kapag trips lang since its not exactly that cheap and of course, when i let myself eat a lot, i have to make sure i like the food so im kind of picky in restaurants that im going to "eat-all-you-can" to. (mamantika foods included...better be careful ^^ ) of course before all that, i'd eat less or wont eat anything at all XD . frankly i only go in places like those to have some quality time with either my close friends or family. its not just about the amount of food. its also enjoying and having a good time with your loved ones. so no, i dont think its a waste of time.
