Every individual especially in the Philippines dreamt to be living or working in the USA. My grandparents were USA citizens and as an heiress, i have tasted at least the benefits of their being a citizen of America.
On my part, when I was still young, i also dreamt of being a green card holder. However, as I grow older, that dream stats to pass away. America is not the only country that could provide you what you want in life. America is not something that one has to go gaga in order to migrate there. I wanter to have a simpler life.
I don't want to leave the dream unfulfilled, but now, i only dream of travelling there, but not to migrate there. I prefer, Australia or Canada when given the chance.

I imagine life is warm and sunny in the Philippines. Many of the people are poor and so some of them dream of a new life somewhere might be better off. About 15 years ago I met an Irish girl that had won a Green card for the USA. I looked into how she had done this. The USA didn't let British people apply though.
The USA is must be a lovely country to live in. Florida would be a tropical delight. Boston would be a charming area to love near. San Diego or Santa Barbara have a lovely coastline. I would love a house overlooking the sea somewhere along the Californian coast. However given the chance I would prefer Australia, where I did live once and New Zealand where I holidayed. Both countries offer wonderful scenery and a nice standard of living.

It is true that many people in the Philippines dreamt of going to the US to work and earn money. It is not because adore the US of A but they got families to support. You see, majority of the people in the Philippines is on poverty line. Blame it to the corrupt politicians in the Philippines. It is actually the biggest sacrifice they ever made in their lives.
