which do you like to read. a book or an e-book??? which is better? my personal opinion is that a book is better than a e-book as you don't have to sit and stare at the computer screen the whole day to read the book. and that's harmful in some ways to the eyes too. which do you like? give an opinion on why you like it too.

Book is better. Because I don't want to sit near the computer in the whole day to read a book. Sometime I print e-book to the papers and enjoy that e-book.

I would rather have a book. You can lay in the bed and have more comfort that way. Besides who wants to sit in a chair for hrs staring at a monitor? Not me.

Generally, I like to read a lot. Most of them, Im more concerned about the content of the Book Im reading, rather than where Im reading. With that, I think I prefer to read both in the paper books, as well in the e-books also.
But the only thing is that, I cant read for hours together in the ebooks because of eye strain reasons, which I can do with the paper books anyway.

Of course I prefer a book. Sitting in front of a computer all day reading is not pleasant.
I like the smell and the touch of books, so I couldn't choose to read in a computer. With a book you can feel the pages and the texture of the paper. With a computer you can't.
Believe me, sometimes I buy some books because they smell good... Of course the story also counts, I usually read it before I buy it. lol

Hi aswinpai. Book or E-Book? I would choose to read a book instead of an ebook, An e-book would give me sore, stingy eyes which I can do without, especially when Im reading an awsome book... I enjoy reading books, this way i can take them anywhere i want too, like out to my garden in the back yard, where its peaceful and I cant hear the phone ringing LOL...

I like Books than e-books. I have a good collection of e-books but i used to take printouts and study. I don't know how to study without scrolling the pen through each line of text? If i go for applying the same in e-books definitely my monitor ll go to hell shortly :) :)

it gotta be BOOKS. i just love reading books on papers. i have tried to readthrough e-books but its straning and my my eyes kinda droop and i couldn't get to the feel of it. my favorite way to read books is to grab a nice one and lie down on bed and completely plunge into the content.
currently, i am reading THE FIRES OF RING and i couldn't get into the feel until i got to lie down in recluse. it is a book set on a different platform.
thanx.
happy reading.

I have never and will never read an e-book! It's so impersonal and besides you cannot "curl up with a good e-book", What is the point of an ebook anyways? And think of the damage to your eyes and back!

I definitely prefer a regular book to an e-book. I spend all day at work looking at a computer monitor, so when I get home in the evening, and have time to read for fun, I would much rather not look at a computer monitor.

I share your opinion. If I read a book I want to sit in the corner of my sofa or an easy chair and take a break. I do not want to stare at a screen.
I already read my newspaper online. It is free and by not having to buy the paper I save part of the money for the internet connection. I can read magazines for free online, too.
But as I do this I miss this feeling of leisure that I get when I sit down to read a book. E-books are not for me.

I like books better because it is easy to carry wherever you want to. Books can go wherever you go.

Book is good than an e-book for which we have to sit in a room starring at computers. In case of book we can mark some important points & can carry it wherever we go.

i usually print a copy of the e-book. It is less stressful to sit and and read than to stare at the computer and read stuff.. I prefer a hard copy!

this is very controvertial.i think book and ebook both has it's own importance.incase of book you can get the full information about any topic, all the lession are describe in a very step by step friendly manner which will not incase of ebook, and incase of ebook there are only good think is many time you will get it free thruogh internet

The book...thats the best! A book is portable and it makes sitting in waiting rooms or in a car waiting for your child, etc so much easier. I curl up with a good book when I want to but can't fall asleep. So often I wake up with my glasses on, the book somewhere under the covers. Books are great. The computer is for things like ...hmmm...this place.

Books, definitly. I don't like e-books, and I will probably never read one... it's annoying for the eyes, and you can't always get into a comfortable position.
With books you can mark where you are easier as well. Plus, I really like the smell of paper... :D
